The Erased Message

I find these two postcards very intriguing.... both have clearly been written, and subsequently totally, intentionally erased (on the actual object the eraser marks are even clearer--the paper has been worn away in parts). I suppose we'll never know the stories behind them, though my personal suspicion is that things didn't work out....
